BanquetOS is provided by Chef Life Media. By using the app you agree to these terms.

The app

BanquetOS turns a menu and a headcount into a purchase and prep list, using coefficients you can see and edit. No account is required for the free app, which works fully offline.

Quantities are guidance, not a guarantee

BanquetOS estimates purchase and prep quantities from the coefficients and assumptions you have entered or accepted. It is a planning aid for a working chef, not a substitute for professional judgment. You are responsible for reviewing the numbers, and for all food safety, sourcing, and purchasing decisions made using them. We are not liable for shortages, overages, spoilage, or losses arising from reliance on the app's output.

Your data

Your recipes and other content are yours. See the Privacy Policy for how local storage and optional cloud backup work, and the Data Retention Policy for how long backed-up data is kept.

Cloud backup subscription

Cloud backup is an optional add-on billed at $4.99/mo through Stripe once you sign in and subscribe. You can cancel at any time from Manage billing in Settings; cancelling stops future charges and new backups but does not delete data already backed up. The free app never requires a subscription.

Acceptable use

Don't use BanquetOS to store or transmit unlawful content, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the app or its backend services.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.

Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
